Norm from the LVRJ is saying in this morning's edition that Mr. Vegas (Wayne Newton) may have his last hurrah at the Flamingo when Gladys Knight ends her run next year. Newton had a 10 year agreement at the Stardust when he left in the mddle of the agreement then he has been doing Limited Runs at various places including the Las Vegas Hilton.
Now, I understand why Wayne would want to go back to the Flamingo. It was where he had his first headlining job. So, it is sentimental. Although, it is totally a different building than when he first appeared there.
Wayne may not be aware of it (but everyone else is) His voice is racked. He no longer has the ability to sing like he used to. In fact, his voice is down right nasty. If you want to hear good Wayne Newton get his album Mr. Vegas that was released this year.
Thankfully, he didn't rerecord the music.

I just finished writing a page on the AdventureDome at the Circus Circus. I did an article which was published at GoArticles.com too. Check them both out. As I mentioned in my article I really don't recommend bringing kids to Vegas. It just isn't their place, IMO, but if they are here you do need to entertain them. That is where the AdventureDome comes in handy. You can split up gambling duties (are you really a gambliholic?) if you need to. Or, you can people watch while hanging out with your children.
Speaking of children, mine has not arrived YET. Really, I can't wait. It is pretty exciting :) We have been overwhelmed with gifts (Nicole had 3 baby showers including one put on by her Kindergarten class) and daily we seem to receive random gifts. Just today, we got a $40 gift card to Wal-Mart. Overwhelming to say the least.
Back to Vegas...Another freakin' Condo Development is being built on the Strip near the Bellagio. At some point, the market has to dry up, right?
