San Remo is being reamed...
In the most titillating story I have read today (or in recent memory) the San Remo owners (who I guess are Japanese) have agreed to a joint venture with the Hooters people to create a Hooters Hotel and Casino by 2005 at the site of the San Remo.
So, between the MGM green and the Hooters orange you will probably feel sick looking in that general vicinity. Plans call for the staff to increase to 1000 and most importantly a loss of the coffee shop Prime Rib special. They are trading it in for skimpy outfits and nasty chicken wings. They claim no staff will be let go in the transition. I do, however, hope that they see fit to replace the coffee shop wait staff as they will not look good in Hooter Orange, if you know what I mean...
