I'm a failure...
I don't post often enough. Oh well. When it pays me to post, I'll get more concerned.
I'm hearing the wishes of a vocal majority that they want a non-smoking casino in Las Vegas.
History Lesson:
It has been done. It didn't work. RIP Silver City.
I am a non-smoker.
I own a few businesses.
Non-Smokers are more vocal but Smokers spend more money in my businesses. Who do you think I go after?
My grandfather owned a grocery store without a liquor license. People in the community praised him for holding up the moral fabric of the community. All the while they headed to the grocery store with liquor cause it was cheaper.
When people start speaking with their feet instead of their mouths then we will see a successful non-smoking casino.
Oh, but our society has changed. Less people smoke. Maybe...OK, It is a fact but go in to any casino in Las Vegas and what do you see? Smokers...Do more smokers than non smokers gamble? Interesting Hypothesis...I'd guess YES.
Smokers, by definition, are gamblers. Everyday, they gamble with their life by taking a drag of their fag (that is cigarette in some countries). Don't send me any hate mail. Why? Because you know it is true. Also, I don't care. I actually like the smell of a cigarette. Call me weird.
